Highlights
The CWU music library room was designed with the Music Library System in mind. One wall has 30 units, the opposite wall has 12. Along with storing music for CWU's primary groups - orchestras, bands and choirs - they also hold music for numerous, smaller ensembles like the jazz bands and choirs and the trombone, trumpet and brass choirs. "The Music Library units work very well - they are very efficient," comments Gries, who says being able to adjust the shelves to fit different sizes of music is a real advantage. The millwork shelving in the previous CWU music building had non-adjustable compartments, which resulted in many music scores becoming bent.
