Shana K. Wortham Intermediate School in McKinney, Texas, opened to just under 900 fifth and sixth graders. The three-story building comprises 142,640 square feet, and is designed for a capacity of 1,050 students.<\/p>\n

The Fine Arts wing at Wortham includes a band room, choir room, orchestra room, general music room, cafetorium, and storage areas. Each rehearsal space has an attached instrument storage room outfitted with Wenger UltraStor Cabinets<\/a>. A Conductor’s Chair and Preface Conductor’s Stand are also in use.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the band room, tuba mobile storage racks<\/a> are used to keep instruments stored and protected, but still within easy reach of students. <\/span><\/p>\n

The choir room is outfitted with Wenger Signature Choral Risers,<\/a> as well as Wenger student chairs.<\/a> The risers are easily moved to the cafetorium for performances. <\/p>\n

For the general music room, flipFORMS<\/a> provide a flexible seating and performance area for students when using Orff instruments. The mobile media cabinet<\/a> stores AV equipment out of site and keeps it secured.<\/p>\n
